North San Francisco/Petaluma KOA
A Resort
This RV Park is located about 45 minutes from the San Francisco Presidio area. After a week of doing that drive, it began to feel a bit wearisome.
The park itself is quite grand. We booked a premium site that was very private and shady for the most part. Our site had a nice patio. The park is clean and seems well maintained, with the exception of multiple washing machines that were out of order in the laundry center.
The park is very family oreiented, with lots of activities for kids, including a great pool area, a petting zoo, a climbing wall and many other activities. There is a ‘hayride” every evening. Weekends feature outdoor movies, ice cream social, food truck, and other similar activities.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of guys that would parade around the rv park on their Harley Davidsons in the evening, riding around the entire park, which is huge, multiple times. When we questioned this activity we discovered that the political climate around this park is quite strong and in opposition to what we would call an accomodating attitude. Amyway, the stay here was ok, but knowing what we know now, we would opt for another option.
The connectivity here is fair, cell service is strong enought to stream with little problem. The wifi is as we have found in any rv park we have stayed, practically non existent.
